Where do you live? What year M3? If its 96 + you should really swap in an M50 Manifold, will make a world of difference up top.

I did this on my 328i, it was a bitch because i wasnt sure what i was doing, but i could do it again in a few hours...

Let me know, i might be able to help out.

His is a 95, it's really simple i've done atleast 6 of these now it's getting rediculous and I hate doing them lol. Maybe I'll have some time saturday to help you out...

yeah, but kills your low end torque...

true, but with software, you get all the torque back... plus MUCH more up top. Ive never been happier.

So, thats 10$ on used m50 manifold. 300$ for good software. All this for about 10 - 15hp and no torque gains?

Sorry for being critical, I guess I would do it too.

Mental, your numbers are off...

You break even if not a little more if you get the software... thats below 3000 rpm.

At 3000 rpm is where the manifold starts to equal the flow rate of the M52/S52 manifold. So the software is already adding HP/Tq there...

Above 4000 RPM is where the manifold shines, adding up to 15wtq and whp, if not more, then higher you go, the more kick it has.. Plus at software thats rated for 15wtq and whp, then youve got a HUGE gain, for only 400-500$.
