In order for the "manual mode" to work, the wires need to be connected, so make sure you leave the harness tucked inside the console. I used the zip ties so that the backplate protecting the circuit board would stay in place.

So is it really longer? (the slide part) Or does it just include the other part? It does replace the change thing? I do not use that crap anyway. I put my change in the rear ash tray :)

The sliding part is the same length, but it adds a larger storage area behind it, eliminating the coin holder thing.

I picked mine up at the dealer, but they had to order it. If you look at that pic, it shows the part numbers "schwarz" is the one you want.
