Yeah she needs some paint work other than that the car feels pretty decent handling wise , i will however probably do the car in a ///Motometrics theme for advertising maybe alpine white with motometrics on each side.
*** The last two pics have no engine *******

You can see it in action if you come near my house or find me a different diff like a 3.15 or 3.46 out of a 528e auto or 3.23 any of those would do. The 4.10 open diff is sucking my nuts too hard but she pulls like a freight train in fourth gear .

Right now i cruise at 45mph in 5th gear at about 5k rpms, i figure i am gear limited to 80mph.

Wow...nice work. You should badge it as a sleeper 318is or something. Don't forget to put on the intake! ;)

Yeah i already took the 318is off to the make the e30 s50 ......not like the regular schmo or basic bmw owner knows what that is anyway .....if they do then its there to make conversation cause they will probably apprceciate the work done.

true...most people would think it was just some old BMW model. I personally think it would look better with just the S50 emblem.

Do what you want with the pictures mang. I was thinking about doing the rims black but i also wanted to put a spoiler similar to the e30 m3 spoiler other than that if ya want to chop em go ahead.

Someone wanted pics so i figured i would revive the thread
Thing looks like fun..
how long did it take you?
aeryk7
05-18-2006, 11:59 PM
Too long cause i sourced all the parts on a budget and started with almost just a short block so probably 4 months but i could do it in a week or 2 easy with a complete engine and all parts needed.

Awesome car, sometime in the future I wouldn't mind building up an e30.
