copied from another forum, but looks totally awesome!

OCTOBER 6TH, 7TH, AND 8TH

This has been labeled "the worlds fastest autocross" For unknown reasons, the SCCA has this ruled as a "hill climb" There is no hills on this corse "or in the FL Keys" There is a dip on the hairpin that has been known to throw cars into the ocean. We have a seperate trophy for who puts their car the farthest into the ocean http://www.stfuanddrive.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif We call it the drink trophy.

Here is a course layout. This is how the BBC has and will always be ran.

And an actual shot of what we run on.

Does any of the water make you a bit nervous? I cannot stress enough that there is NO RUN OFF FACTOR! If you go off course, pray the mangroves will keep you on land.

The track is approximately 3 miles long. Speeds into between gates and the last stretch to the finish will put you anywhere between 80-120 mph.

EVENT QUALIFICATIONS: All efforts have been made to conduct this event by the 2006 SCCA Solo II rules, however, EVSCC is an independent organization and variances are to be expected.

Insurance Waiver: You will not be permitted on the "Loop" until you have signed the waiver at the bridge. EVERYONE must sign: drivers, family and crew.

Driver's Licenses: Entrants are required to show their driver's licenses at check-in.

Course: Due to the high speed of the course, we recommend only experienced drivers enter this event.

Vehicles: ALL OPEN CARS MUST HAVE A ROLL BAR!!! (At least a single loop) (Roll cage not required) T-Tops and Targas are not considered to be open cars. Factory rollbars are legal. QUIET MUFFLERS ARE REQUIRED. This will be strictly enforced!! If your car sounds loud, it is too loud. Decisions will be made by a pre-selected noise committee and are final. Cars are subject to disqualification for being too noisy. This event is held near a residential area and use of the site may be cancelled due to excessive noise.

Car Classification: It is the entrants responsibility to properly class his/her vehicle according to SCCA Solo II rules . Please call or e-mail the Chief Tech Inspector, Bill Horn (305) 296-8302 or WPHORN@aol.com (WPHORN@aol.com) prior to mailing you entry if you have questions on your car class.

Numbers: Car numbers will be assigned as entries are received - ENTER EARLY. If you have a number painted on your car, indicate on the registration form. We will try to give you that number. It is the responsibility of the driver to have his/her correct number on the car when the car is brought to staging.

Entrants Per Car: We recommend a maximum of two drivers per car in each class, however, EVSCC reserves the right to waive this rule. Consult the tech inspector.

Course Volunteers: We will attempt to provide all necessary course workers, however, we only have 15 members in our club. Your assistance may be required.

Trailer Parking: Due to limited pit space, trailers will be parked in the designated trailer parking area for the weekend. NO trailers on pit road.

Reckless Driving: Not permitted anywhere (pits, course or access road). Reckless driving is grounds for disqualification.

Pets: All pets are required to have their owners on a leash at all times.

This is a limited 90 car event. Do not sit on this if you want to participate. These spots WILL be filled fast. People from as far as Canada trailor cars down to drive this event.
