I had to help deliver a car to Daytona, so since I work for Porsche I get to take one of the loaner cars for my vehicle...

Well at first they were going to make me take a Cayenne :(. They said they didn't have any of the Caymans ready. So I take the gas card and fill up the Cayenne.

Although it is a new Cayenne I'm not thrilled about it.

So later when my partner arrives, so does the service manager. So we talk about what vehicles we are taking. Apparently we're delivering a Lexus :dunno:. And I tell the manager that they gave me the key to a Cayenne. Then I go on to tell him that I really wanted to take a Cayman, because let's be honest, the Cayenne's are boring. So right away the service manager knows what I'm talking about and throws me the key to one of our Cayman :). Finally, The previous cars I've driven on deliveries were a 993, a G35 sedan, and a Cayenne, so I was happy to take a Cayman on a delivery. I've drive on a normal basis, but never have I driven one this far of a distance.
So the other Driver (Stan) says he wants to run the car through the wash before we take it.

So I take some pictures while I wait

So we get onto 9-A and look what I spot

I decided to take a picture of Stan's car on the way

The last pic of the Lexus

We stop at a 7-11 because Stan wants to buy the lottery

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u36/19666falcon/19666falcon-pics/IMG_1968.jpg

Then we stop at a Chick-fil-A to grab a bite to eat

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u36/19666falcon/19666falcon-pics/IMG_1969.jpg

Then OMG! look what I spot on the way back :D

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u36/19666falcon/19666falcon-pics/IMG_1970.jpg

I was trying to get next to him to take a picture of his car and I guess he though I was trying to race him :lmao: So I catch up (no Nissan can lose a Porsche ;)) and the two old guys wave at each other while I take some pictures

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u36/19666falcon/19666falcon-pics/IMG_1971.jpg

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u36/19666falcon/19666falcon-pics/IMG_1972.jpg

Then nothing really happens and I drop the car off at Porsche

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u36/19666falcon/19666falcon-pics/IMG_1973.jpg

So after I drop the Porsche off I drive my Mercedes back home and I notice how boring it feels :( So now the plans for the car along with the engine swap is a 6 speed swap...hope you enjoyed the story :)

actually we have both an automatic car wash machine and a full detail center with living human beings. Does that soothe the wound.

Some of the automatic car washes that are in the dealerships are pretty top notch. A lot of German car dealers use them... The top end ones can clean like a hand wash, sometimes better.

well they are brand new which is probably why you havent seen one yet

the reason its from a video game is because it has insane technology as far as traction and stability controls. the thing is basically driven by the computer, you are just along for the ride lol.

thanks for the positive feedback (rare around these forums, lol). Actually I just sell Porsche Parts, but every now and then they will ask me to do a delivery and I get paid to do it, so I'm all for it. :D
