rb25det in a 240

my friend just got a 1992 240 sx with rb25det outher then that its stock and at 6.psi and right ther with my m3.also stock.I know I need pics. soon !Is fun and will be alot faster in a week or 2 .12 to 1 3 psi I think so look out!

The RB25DET was introduced with the then new R33 skyline. The 2.5 liter shares many similar specs with the RB26DETT. Oil/water pump, transmissions, crank,rods,pistons, heads are all interchangeable*. Because of that, the RB25 probably has one of the largest aftermarket support of all engines. The factory engine is known to support 450 to the wheels; the bottom end has been taken over 600 to the wheels.

this has a intercooler. It sound like a little desiel truck. and mich is right down to the right hp. and it is out of a r33. we should be out this weekend

did a lot of research about the swaps and its not the worst motor in the world but i hate all the hype because its not that good of a motor but people swap it in and think its a monster when you have to remember its still just a stock motor from the same car in another country, its not a power freak. they apparently dont like to rev as freely as some of the other choices too and the motor has a lot of cooling issues and its not all that strong in comparison. the sr20 would be my last choice in building a 240. it would have to be a turbo KA24, or ca18det , or and rb series engine.

apparently the guy is from tampa, but its got an RB26 that doesnt really sound like a desiel, more like a gun.

but no its not the highest revving in the rb series and its not a power monster in stock form but it is good to 450 hp on stock internals with a turbo upgrade; in the gts25t skyline it is factory rated at 250hp stock which is actually overrated because the cars have been dynoed off the showroom floor with above around 240hp. however with the upgraded fuel pump,fmic, boost controller im probly running about 280hp but with the tune i will be getting within the next few weeks i should be pushing at or around 300 too the wheels!! also i will be buying an lsd . it still needs some body work and paint but its got brand new bushings and suspension and rides nice and when its done it will be a very potent car! sorry to post on a dead thread

rb26dett is twin turbo awd rb25det is single turbo rwd not specific to r33 or r34 and im pretty sure that two tone one in the second pic is regina

r32's are fairly easy to replicate with other nissan bodies, but they do get imported occasionally...you sure it was a skyline?

i was close to doing an rhd swap on my 240... its not all that hard... i had the whold dash and console, i would have needed a pedal assembly and a few little things, but it oculd easily be done.... plus you gotta drill through the firewall and i wasnt lookin forward ot all that stuff

and when you think about it, the normal people who go to sonic do that kinda stuff... they get an exhaust and intake, then LEDs, bodykitz, all that stuff.... i wouldnt be surprised if he had the rhd conversion done

i think XAT racing in tampa will do the rhd conversion if you ask them to so your probably right i think he had it done instead of did it himself

I thought Taylor was the only one who could do 240 RHD conversions. Atleast a few years ago he was...

Rob has a white s13 hatch with RHD. IMO its pointless
