Was looking through the for sale section on Audizine, and found some 18" Iforged Sprints for $1,410 shipped. Brand new never mounted. I was thinking of getting new wheels (Forgeline's) but the ones I wanted came only in 18's. I decided to pass because I wasnt sure if I wanted to go back to 18's but the more I see stuff like this and now that I want to start tracking the car, should I go back to 18's? I can sell my wheels/tires and get the wheels and the only added cost would be to get new tires for the Iforged's. To go to the 18" Forgeline's its going to cost me about 3k on top of selling mine or I can get the Iforged's for an extra 700-800 depending on what tires I go with. So what do you think?

1) Keep the 19" Sevas and screw 18's
2) Hold out for Forgeline's or something else
3) Jump on the Iforged wheels and get a new look for almost no money!
Which one?? :D

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told some time ago when I was looking at some iForged wheels that they have had a rather larger than normal case of wheel failures.
I'd go with whatever you like the most, quite honestly. To Hell with the price - we spend large sums of money on everything else, why not buy exactly what you want, even if it takes a little more time and saving?

Time and saving ...
I have it, its just a matter of parting ways with it. I dont mind spending money on my car (obviously) but I hate the thought of spending 4k on JUST wheels and then another 1k on tires. But then I would have exactly the ones I wanted :D
I just hate to pass up a good deal for wheels that I do like and would be a change for not much more money!
I think I just have a modding problem :banghead:

We all do. If you don't believe me, come look at the price list for my car. :(
Get the ones you want and will be happy with for the life of your car. I know a lot of people that buy new wheels every 3 months, and blow thousands of dollars because they didn't just pony up and get the expensive ones that they always wanted first.
I consider myself lucky - I love my stock wheels. They just need a proper paint scheme and they are perfection. ;)
Edit: And as far as size goes - I think 18" is the "best" blend of style and performance. I, personally, would never go higher than 17" - but I am more into performance than show off value. Those wheels are hot as hell, and I'd pimp them, even in 18" ;)

I wouldnt spend that kind of money on wheels unless they were alot lighter. Tires is where its at...

Well i have a feeling that the pictures provided arent the ACTUAL wheels. You need to check on that(based ont he ebay pic stealing)
He may have the rims but you want to see the actual rims you know?
Also, I think the sprints ONLY look good with painted centers. The spokes are too thick and make the wheels busy when they run into the rivets.
With that being said, i think sprints MUST be atleast 19in. The multi-piece makes the rim looks smaller then it is. The 18s will look like 17s, and with you allready having 19s, i think you might lose a good look.
Also, compared to the forgeline, these don't hold a candle.
Stick with what you got. They arent the best wheel but they still look good on your car. Save and get what you want.
You have enough torque to overcome the 19in rim you have now. They arent as light or better in diameter then some wheel combo's, but they are still faster then stock.
For those who say that 19=Show, go to a ALMS race and tell me that. It comes down to weight, and a lot of times, rims weigh less then tire...
I go with option #2!

you are corrert. iforged wheels do have an unusually large number of issues. they would be great wheels for daily driver but i would never track them. ive heard too many horror stories of them cracking or breaking. thats why i didnt buy the set i was lookin at for my e46

Not all of us can afford magnesium wheels ;) If I could get some 19" mags, I'd pimp em all day long, but a set of 17" 17lb SSR Comps for a low low price sounds good to me. ;)

Well you wont have much argument from me with your case...
You cant compare wheel to wheel at difference sizes, obviously the smaller will be lighter.
But when comparing different manufactures wheels, a bigger one can be lighter...
And then throw in the tire make and size, and sometimes you come out way ahead

Do you have any pics of these on your car. 18s seem small for your car :dunno:
