Nope. To level both the playing and the racing fields, all tracks will have cars equipped with very nice GM automatic transmissions. If you absolutely have to drive a stick, one of the high performance Skills Clinics will offer you a choice - a Cobalt SS (auto) or a Cobalt SS Supercharged (manual). On a short track with tight turns, you should be just as fast with two pedals as you are with three. Assuming you’re as good as you think you are.



I can't find anything about additional costs... only mention of insurance regards if your company (your policy on YOUR car) will give you a break for taking the course... like knowing how to race will make you drive safer... lol...

I worked at a Chevy dealership between high school and college... there's a reason I drive a German car... oh well, maybe we can ask really nice and get a lap or two in our cars afterwards... (not likely!)

We tore the *#$&*& out of those Corvettes... the tires were TOAST!

Highlight of day: Pro Driver blowing up a Z06... (eek!)

Pro blew the engine, he and the passenger got out... hot oil or fluids lit the thing on fire... we could see the flames/smoke from probably 200 yds away (it was at the opposite end of the "Skills" courses, on a seperate course we didn't have access to).

The Malibu Maxx SS was decent for an auto... as was the tralblazer SS (Just don't try turning it).

The vettes were PIGS.. horrible throttle response... the Impala SS, and Cobalts were junk.

yeah whenever i autoX or run at decent speed in an automatic, I get on the power just before the apex. That way by the time the computer catches up to you and puts down the power youre at the right spot.
