Yes, the V1 does have the arrows, but the V1 sucks in the city, where as the 8500 rules in the city, and doesn't have as many problems with electronic doors...
They are both great radar's, but for 100 bucks less, and better in cities, where I am 99.9% of the time, I'll take the passport. It never failed me.
For long distance highway driving in the middle of nowhere, I'll take the v1 all the time. But for daily driving, and the driving I do, I'm with passport..

Thanks Nick. I did a lot of research on both radar detectors and the 8500 came out on top. The arrows on the V1 seemed neat, but I heard it gives false alarms out the @ss. And since I'll be in downtown Tampa for most of the next four year, could afford the annoyance.
