new rims fo' da mini!

need you guy's input on this before i order. i kinda want the 18s just becuase, lol.

anyways, most of you know how much weight ill have out back with the system, im going to save up and get Megan Coil Overs and new springs in the rear, this way i can adjust the height to exactly how i want...i dont want to run lowering springs, theyll be more problems in the long run.

anyways, heres the wheel options.

the rims will be in all black with the black spokes.

18" Konig Hotswaps - $715
215/35/18 Nitto NeoGen's - $411

17" Konig Hotswaps - $635
215/40/17 Nitto NeoGen's - $311

$180 dollar difference.....what you guys think? height wise, itll be the a .1" difference. width, the 18s are 1/2" wider.

I thinik 17's will look better on it aswell, with a drop, youll probably get better ride quality as well, instead of the 18 with lower profile tire

and of course, i stuck with the same tire that i have now on my s-lites, the nitto neogens in 215/35/18. total price for the tires, rims, "installation kit" which is the hubcentric rings, lugs, valve stems, etc., and warranty on the lifetime of the tire for free REPLACEMENT $1350 shipped mounted and balanced! discount tire direct.com FTW!!!!!

wheels next wouldnt match the price of the neogens, they sell them for 133 each, discount is 103 each!!!! so i hung up, called discount tire direct, THEY SPECIAL ORDERED me the enkei zr2 rims direct from enkei, they arent even a wheel they normally stock.

im very pleased with this company.

all in all, these rims in total for 1350 were $113 dollars more than the hotswaps. worth it in every way IMO. much better looking wheel.

ill put them on and snap a pic.

right NOW, they'd most likely look cool with the chrome spokes

but when i get the gas cap, headlight trim rings, door handles, all blacked out, the spokes and those chrome rivets on the rims will be the only chrome things on the car.

i wish those rivets on the rims came out so i could get the powder coated :(

Tim is going to be getting my stock rims soon, and i dont have anywhere to put them without them getting messed up (my 18s are in my house, only becuase they're clean) so i cant bring the 17s inside.

btw, heres the center caps (not on the rim in the pic) but on the left is how they are stock, i put some 3M vinyl on the center piece, i think it looks better all black

my interior is getting done up in black vinyl (nicer quality of vinyl) and black suede and black painted pieces. im even powder coating my amps gloss black entirely. will be harder to sell when the time comes, but who cares i want EVERYTHING black hahha

i dont track or anything, if you didnt know, my stereo weighs upwards of 500 lbs...i'm not into performance really. it just doesnt interest me.
