Psh, it doesn't close until 10:30pm or something like that.... I got in like 6 runs coulda did more, but my clutch overheated and went funny like it did that night at the spot, but this time it actually threw a "Clutch overheated" warning....

Think it was from sitting there revving to warm my engine.... I couldn't get a good time... I kept spinning so bad, first run I almost went into the other lane lol....

I had one sweet launch but it came with a bad reaction time.. They moved the cool guy from running the lights to bringing cars up, and the guy running the lights was going so fast, i could hardly get launch control in time, I'd get liek a 1 second r/t... but launch control is slow I was doing better on manual launches, but getting traction was hard, I'd spin the whole length down the track....

The best I could pull was a 8.5 at 86mph with a 0-60ft at 2.18.... I think it was... idk whatever my 60 ft time was they said if I went down another tenth they were going to make me wear a helmet.... lol I know I can get under that easily and run a 8 second flat but I was having a hard time launching my car...

wow:eek: clutch overheating on an 1/8 track thats not good u might have other problems thats just not normal reving to warm the engine will not heat up the clutch cause its disingaged unless you had in drive :nono: and either get better tires or learn how to control wheel spin

overheating your clutch? what are you doing to your poor car man!

is this something that is common to SMGIII? I haven't ever done it with my car.

Doesnt your LC drop the clutch at 1800rpms or so? I can't imagine that would be too hard on the clutch.

Your best bet is probably stomping the throttle when using LC which will initiate "burnout" mode (slowly depressing the gas pedal uses normal LC) and then cutting back on the throttle.

You can also slam the gas to 100% from a stop without LC and this should do a 3000+rpm clutch drop (least it does on my smgii). I'm guessing SMGIII is different? does it's LC just do a clutch drop? with SMGII RPMS will hold steady @ 1800 then when I let go of the gear selector it'll drop the clutch but it will actuate it to minimize wheelspin.
