was driving my dads touareg the other day and tried to get on it a couple times. Once i was pulling out onto a main road and a car was a decent distance away. I floored it and counted how long it took to start accelerating quickly. It seemed like it took about 3 seconds from the time i floored it to really start accelerating in that time it seemed like it was still just at the idle roll.. I dont know if its because of an electronic throttle or what but i think thats some pretty crappy response time.. maybe they did better with the cayenne?

I would hope so. Does not sound very impressive:confused:

the cayenne turbo's are apparently pretty sick, but its impossible to justify that much money for what it is...

i must say that time is relative... i cant see it having a 3 second delay, just doenst sound right

If you've already selected the right gear, the CS is very responsive, its almost too touchy.

If you need to downshift, it takes the time to do that, but its done in under a second then your off instantly.

Dave should be about to let you know about the CS in a couple days. ;)

What motor is in your dads Toureg?

which engine? the V6? V8? V10?

If you can find one, pick up the V10 turbo diesel... its faster than most Cayennes...

VW no longer sells the V10 TDI in the US, they ran into emissions problems, only a super small handfull made it in.

What kind of mileage do you get? I can't imagine its worse then our CS.

I know the V10 is hard to get... one of the reasons its so desirable... the US needs to get its head out of its ass in the Diesel department...

the v10 TDI is back this year. but its only 45 state legal. the reason earlier models were pulled from the U.S is because of emission standards. the government wouldn't allow anymore to be shipped here, and VW bought back almost all of them in the U.S. only a handfull of people have 04-05 v-10 TDI's in the U.S.
