Potential of a B6 S4.....?

I am thinking about selling my car and buying a 2004 Audi S4 and I was wondering if it will be easy to find parts for it...?

Well I searched and I know you can get exhaust, etc. But I am talking about like cams, pistons, etc. without having to go all custom.

Well I wish I could have the S4 as an everyday car and keep the bmw for the weekend or track. But going out on a date with a girl and my car being loud as **** is kinda annoying sometimes.

As far as getting more power out of the NA S4 your kinda stuck. You can get exhaust, hi flow cats, and a ECU flash which will get you to about 360 for around 4 grand. To get above that HP range, your going to have to hold out for the APR supercharger which is coming out in about 6 months. That should take your flywheel HP just over 500. Price range Ive seen is about 8-9k for the supercharger and then you will need exhaust in addition! The S4 is a great car but unless you have alot of money all at one time to dump into it then there are better choices as far as tuning a car. What about a new RS4? :D

my boss has an 04 S4...

we put an intake on it, and he's got the GIAC software... we'll be doing the exhaust in a couple months when his garage is finished.

its a NICE car...

he's test driving an RS4 soon... hopefully I can tag along for it.

They're great cars, but speaking power wise, a B5 S4 would be much better. Chip, exhaust, and other assorted parts, piping, downpipes, and you'll be outperforming the B6. Granted they have various technical problems at times, it's not all that great.
More of annoyances than anything else, fixing known breakable parts..

If you must go S4 go B5 and mod it to hell. Turbo swap, dv, intercooler uprade. APR is a good tuner.

NA cars are hard to make faster.. of course. The price market for the new S4 is also going to have a hefty $ aftermarket.
