My calipers. I painted them black because I didn't want a huge riced out red look. I just wanted them to look better than rust.

Can you wet sand them on your own? Or do you have to take them somewhere. How much?

I did LD's moms Mercedes lights.

I think he could attest to the job I did.

I could do your for some money. I'd need the car for an hour or so.

I did my own lights with 1000 grit sandpaper and then with 2000 grit. After I finished sanding the lights I topped it all of with cleaning them up with diesel fuel injector cleaner. IRPancake is actually the one who did most of the wetsanding.

You have a red car though, so it's acceptable. I have a silver car which I am contrasting with black. Red would have just thrown it off. I should take that riced out red comment back.

hey, i can do your headlights in less than 20 minutes. $20 bucks...come to the back of wesley chapel nissan (detail dept) and i will take care of you. its wetsanding and then buffing and polishing...ive done at least 50 headlights lol...and if you need any other detailing services let me know.

call me 813 892 6906 if you decide to swing by. ill be there tomorrow and saturday from 12-9. and my name is montira :D

p.s. try it yourself if you would like...but buffing/polishing makes a big difference.

the lights look like they could use some polishing to take out the sanding marks, but they look much better

theres also a cheap kit you can buy from advance, auto zone, pep boys etc... that you just spray water on the headlight, put the pad on a drill, go to town, and then rinse. doesn't come out as nice as plastic restore and wet sanding, but it takes 5 minutes and looks better than foggy lights ;)

I have red calipers :(

My boy does work like that, but professionally with angle grinder buffers and polish and shit.

He did it to my Euro lights, look amazing. And thats glass, not plastic.

We tested it on my Beater mercury plastic lights, it was like night and day.

It's ok....I'm taking it back

haha

I meant that I didn't want to paint them red because I am trying to contrast my car between black and silver. Not black silver and red. and by ricer I meant like a gross color combo. My friends Jade green RSX has red calipers with brown rims, IMO it doesn't look that great. Black stands out good enough for me. They look better then the rusted look.

My rims aint brown s0n. My rims are basically the color of my car. It matches all the accents of red on my car.

Edit: Ok the brake dust is brown, but the rims are the color of the car.

I do headlights on the side and I guarantee the foggyness will never come back or your money back! I add a super top secret ingredient... $45 for both headlights.

I finally got them the way I want......perfect

I dont use that fuel cleaner shortcut to shine them up for a bit

I wetsanded them for awhile and waxed and waxed again and my dad threw me this stuff he used to polish out boat with. A small little bottle with brown stuff inside. So I rubbed a few coats onto my headlights and god damn! it changed the whole look. I don't know what the polish was but its for fiber glass and plastic. I'll post pics of the finishing touch.
