Recently I was involved in a car accident where a truck rear ended me. This happened a while ago but I finally have a resolution. The insurance company decided that it was not totaled and sent me a check for $2500 to get my 91 Miata repaired. Ummm, yeah I pocketed that money and began to fix this car myself with no body experience whatsoever. I used a big hammer, a car jack and some 2x4's that I cut to specific lengths and a K-mart ratchet set and just tried to straighten whatever I felt didn't look right. I found a guy up in Land O Lakes who has a huge lawn full of nothing but Miatas everywhere and picked up a set of tail lights and a new parking light on the front for $90! The result is the attatched image. I'm pretty proud if I do say so myself.

The main point of this thread was not to brag about my beginner body work skillz, but to show off the fact that since my trunk looks horrible anyway, I now have the ability to do the following, until I sell the car, without feelings of guilt:

Also, here's my "body work"
