I drive a VW but ask CFBMW I am far from the norm when it comes to attitude. Please keep this a geramn car forum and not a euro, flat paint, charcoal rubstrips, dragging oil pan, you aint Euro attitude away from here as I have seen on other VW threads.

Yeah I am a little tipsy, but I would say this sober as well. I have met very few, and only one group so far really that struck me as entusiasts and not cliques, and that was BoostedDubs from Jax. Good guys, the VW community can learn alot from them if they werent so one side of the tracks.

So far the ones I have seen posting here seem to be cool. You want examples of what I am talking about visit Eurghetto.com.

Well I definately do somewhat agree with you Outkasted "don't know you're real name, mine's Steven Alex" But You might think the dojo guys are the same way but I beg to differ. Here's my car, and I'm a strong enthusiest. Going to every meet, always on the forums.

Yet still I refuse to lower my car to the point I'm dragging oilpan and destroying the $1,000 dollar front bumper. The only problem I have though is the rake my car has due to springs.

and there is one reason why the front bumper was $1000.. lol the smallest details are the most expensive

No the cupra r lip was only 60 dollars, the front bumper itself was around 650. But the shipping is what burns the hold in the pocket. Not because of the weight but because of the size of the box. I was going to get the euro rline rear bumper but that's anouther 900.

Was it worth it?

Wow the car is lower now then that and alot more stuff has been done. Ill post some finished pics here in a few minutes. Gotta go to Autozone and get some 1500 grit sandpaper so I can wet sand the remaining paint on the roof and hood so it will buff out nicely!!!

thanks man, I have got more to come I have the 20th AE lip kit, just have to find the time to paint it, I do all body work myself, Im shaving front and rear rubstrips for an even cleaner look. Hopefully all will happen soon!

i was always tossed up about the strips. On the one hand they actually do work and stop just about every door in the world from hitting you, and they act as a good line in the vehicle (bc mk4's are pretty devoid of them) but they can look good gone as well

LOL, no kidding. The good and the bad to an R is the AWD and the AWD. It's nice to have, can launch like a bat out of hell but it also adds another 250+lbs to the weight of the car.
