OK,

Flame if you must but you know me and my Honda roots  . May not be for me but This is definitely going to give the new M-Coupe a good run and be much cheaper. Too bad this is the last year for the S2000.

Eh, 320 hp, AWD, stiffer chassis, not a 2 seater, it does have a back seat! I will test drive it when it comes out ;)

kelso

oh i thought it was a 2 seater still... dave come on.... you know the bmw is a better choice!

TheDarkSide
06-12-2006, 10:47 AM
Well hell yeah it is a better choice. But if I was in the market for a "brand new" M-Coupe this would definitely come to mind first. I may do a project S2k down the road. I would not get rid of my BMW for it though :nono:

kelso

ok ok... project cars are ok as long as youve got a bimmer in the garage too;)

They say 2+2, but you know the back seat's going to be USELESS. Still a cool car, though.

ya but it is actually good for luggage space so its not too useless and hey my gf is small enough that she fits in those backseats pretty well hahaha

hard top vert would be better I think.

Hard top vert is too damn heavy. It would be sweet and all, but it would add a lot of weight. My mom has a vert top on her SLK 280, the car is already heavy as ****, but that just makes it that much heavier.

Man that thing looks sweet...

Wats 0-60 and 1/4mile? Weight?

I'm not actually that impressed by it. Old S2K redlined at 8900 rpm and had 120 hp/litre. This relines under 8k and has under 120 hp/litre, and it will be heavier because it's a 2+2 and has a hardtop probably. I mean, don't get me wrong, 320 hp from a NA 3 litre is awesome, but I think they can do alot better than that.

TheDarkSide

It is not a removable hardtop so my guess it would not be too heavy. I am sure it is a bit heavier but just because of the larger engine and the car being a bit bigger.

As far as the back seat. May not be practical but it is nice to have for storage and also that extra space that your front seat can back into and also does not have that clostrophobic feel.

TheDarkSide

 I don't think "Rape" is the right word but it will be better, but it will be twice as much!

I kind of like the Saturn Sky mainly because it a Vaxhall (sp?) VX220. I will still never forgive Saturn for the VUE and plastic body panels. :banghead:
