i love the way it looks especially in the 2nd picture but the grill is a little bit bulging in the front...

none of the merc AMG's are coming in stick as far as i know....and only like one or 2 models in the whole linup has a manual option

see the car looks great and i have been drooling over the new C but i just hate the fact that there is no manual option and that they try and pass off their stupid paddle shifters as something that rivals the SMG, which it doesnt at all... its just a dumb ass auto with paddles that try and act cool but really arent........................

I know the SLK comes with a six speed manual, so I figure the SL comes with a manual as well. I think the SLR can come with a six speed as well, but thats the damn SLR, its kinda in its own class all by itself.

Most of the mercs now have like a tiptronic shifter on the shifter. You bring it into Drive and then tap the thing to the left and it goes into first gear. Tap it left and it goes higher, tap it right and it goes lower. Im sure its the same as the paddles though, i dont really know.

I think the reason they dont make a manual for most of their cars is because I think they feel automatic is more luxurious.

yes the lower model SLK's can have a manual. The SL is not a manual and never will be. I think the only manual that was ever offered in the SL was the SL320 back in the early 90's bc it was a small V-6. The SLR is in a class of its own, you 're right, but it's a class at the bottom of every list that no one else wants to be on. The SLR could never have a manual bc then that would prove Gordon Murray right, and MB doesn't want to do that...

I know about the retarded tiptronic system bc of my moms SL500 Sport... the Tiptronic is nothing special. And it's actually left is - and right is +. So tap it to the right and it goes into gear...

The new C-klasse design is pure genious. So retro in a great way. Also the new CL looks amazing too. I was disappointed when our rental car in Germany was a last-gen C, not the new one sitting outside their office. :mad:
