Wasup Guys

been hearing a lot about this board over on cfbmw.org and ready to meet a bunch of you on the June 24th meet in Tampa so I figured I would join here also. I will most likely also be going to the Meet on the 10th at the bakery

Figure I'll post a few pics of my German vehicle, I'm also a big fan of american muscle cars so if any members on here happen to be Ford guys also post up some pics of ur ride as well :thumbu:

Welcome, and nice car! Also, since you're a muscle car guy, here's a little something for you. My dad and his baby, right before she got shipped off to Oz. (Edit-Australia for the uninformed *coughdavecough*)

bmw is superior to american cars in every way i can think of. if you got one of each, thats cool but i cant see why he wants to switch... to each his own

That is the one, if not few year old viper I would rock too. Not really a ford guy unless it is their trucks.

there are a few american cars that can hold their own up there at the top of the list.

of course your 2 most common and known about the 500hp viper and Z06, lets also not forget the Ford GT and the Saleen S7. Just to name a few.

It is a fast car but regardless it is still a mustang to the average eye. They don't change them cosmetically enough to distinguish them. You really need to be an enthusiast to appreciate the car. You can say the M3 is just a 3-Series but then again it is a BMW nonetheless so it gets its own respect there. But really you do not need to know much about cars to know what an M3 is. They have always been what the others will try to match. For example I would consider the S2K to be the best N/A 4-cylinder and BMW to make the best n/a 6-cyl and a damn good 8 known for awards. My thinking is that these domestic cars have like a lack of engineering. For example 6.0 displacement to get 400 hp  Where the M5 does it in 4.9. Call me crazy but that is my attitude about all domestic cars. "Hmmmm, how do we get more power? Eh, just increase the displacement!"

Good call. Just going from M3 to Mustang as an "Upgrade" is not what I would call it. Having that torque and whine of the blower is fun though. I just think I would just get some fox body and crate motor and call it a day if I was craving I car like that.

Hi! I love the Vorsteiner (sp?) hood and the lip...very nice!

American cars FTL. MOST are cheaply build and have very little going for them except for their price.

i can see why some may like muscle cars. theyre usually nothing to look at on the interior or exterior but u gotta give them props for how fast they are.

Welcome!!!
I also have a "thing" for the american classics. I would love an old dodge challenger convertible!!! But, this might be a tad harsh, but I can count the number of american cars on one hand, built earlier than 1980, that i would pay more than a full cup of dip spit for.

ok that was harsh... 2 hands.
i had a bad experience with a F.O.R.D. (FOUND ON THE ROAD DEAD) auto.

anyway- its good to have you!!!

ford gt and s7 are supercars so youd have to compare them with say the veyron, ferraris, porsche carrera gt... and then they suddenly dont seem all that wonderful anymore compared to the european cars. dont gte me wrong, i love them, but id rather have one of the european supercars.

i kind of agree with dave though. if i wanted to go in a straight line then foxbody is a great cheap choice. but i like handling in corners

I hear ya..

I dont wanna sound like a nutswinger but the Z06 is gonna perform with some pretty amazing sports cars from all over the world and hold its own. and for very well under 100K

Dont get me wrong neither, I would choose a euro super car over an american one 11 times out of 10

chris
06-06-2006, 10:04 AM
The z06 is definately one of those on my list!!! It's one of the best performance bang-4-the buck vehicles out there. (if you don't plan on keeping it more than a few years...) The ford gt doesn't count b/c I consider that a pre-1980 american supercar.
euros rock-
have you checked out the Noble?

Variance
06-06-2006, 11:28 AM
Well, if you get down to the nitty-gritty, the orginal GT40 WAS designed and built by Ford of Europe. And the Noble is awesome, one of the best British cars out there, in my opinion.
