yea i have some clay. i dont trust myself to wetsand but my brother is decent at that. polished his intercooler piping for hours and it looks amazing. as long as ive got the clay id do it for you for free....maybe a few bucks to put some wax on afterwards like i said to just cover to cost of materials.

jeff i really wouldnt wanna try it man thats a brand new paint job first of all and im not really good at it 2nd. assuming you meant wetsanding. if you want some other !*%#@^&!)&^%!^@#!!*%#@^&!)&^%!^@#!!*%#@^&!)&^%!^@#!!*%#@^&!)&^%!^@#! done, no problemo.

dave- black cars are hot lookin but really tough to care for especially in florida. they get real swirly and stuff. it probably does need clay and polish and some real good wax like pinnacle souveran. i havent used it cause its expensive as !*%#@^&!)&^%!^@#!!*%#@^&!)&^%!^@#!!*%#@^&!)&^%!^@#!!*%#@^&!)&^%!^@#! but i hear nothing but good about it. if you want me to do your car, ill order some. ill check your car out next time i see you and see what it needs.

Just get some decent wax, and do it once a month...
I had black for three years myself, father had black for 2 years. And he's too old to be on his hands and knees waxing cars.. So I'll wax the car for him.
I gotta say meguiars is cheap, and works the best. They're wax and polish is great.

However, lately I've been using the nano wax by eagle, that's awesome.. I love it, have yet to try it on a black car... I suggest giving that a shot to see how it works for you..

Kelso,
What do you recommend for taking care of polished lips. I've been using the car's wax mostly. But for a good polishing on the lip, what do you suggest??
:thanks: in advance!

I have only used meguiars and mothers.

I really need to clay my paint, and my wheels too. Water spots from the PO and some caked-on brake dust... bagh.

id have to see the wheel before i used anything on it, but for many wheels, and various other cars parts, Nevr dull works good. mainly for chrome and aluminum finishes i think. that will kind of restore it and to take care of it, i generally just use car wax as well. im tempted to try Wheel Wax because its supposed to clean and prevent buildup on your wheels, but they want you to keep using it and not wash your wheel, just use to wax every time. thats one thing im skeptical of.

I'm planning to clay the wheel to get all the crap off, then use a good sealer on it. Might need to polish them, though; have some odd white "cracks" that I need to get out.

nevr dull would probably work good on your wheels, but clay is never a bad decision

Poor Boys Wheel Sealer is a good product for wheels, need to get them very clean before, a good quality polish would work well.
