second how did the speedo still read how fast he was goin wouldnt it drop ?

and the tanks on those gas truck are about as thick as well, about i think close to 2 to 3 inches thick they are hard core

hmm yea i wonder how that gauge is still reading? maybe thats in there to tell people how fast they were going when they crashed....anyone???

They're double skinned. There's the cylinder outside and smaller fuel cells within.

The speedo stayed there because it's a surely some type of servo/mechanical driven gauge. Why would it go back to zero? There's no return spring or anything on it. If the mechanism driving the speedo breaks, the needle will stay wherever it was when the system broke.

On another note, gasoline tankers are scary things on the highway, especially when the guy driving one is falling asleep!

I wonder if it was the tanker's fault. Don't forget, this was in Germany so it could've easily happened on an unrestricted part of the Autobahn. Maybe the tanker went into the passing lane and the Benz didn't have time to react. :dunno: Sucks though.

they wouldnt have a casket at the scene, that would be at the funeral.. it was probably just a box that they used to put the person in. they might not have come out in one piece... :\
