I've been watching this CEL go on and off for about two months now and a code check revealed bad oxygen sensors. I plan on replacing them all at once. The thing is that I don't know exactly how many I need (I've been told 4), if the pre and post-cat sensors are the same, or where I can buy them without breaking the damn bank. If anyone knows the answer to my questions please go ahead and post a reply. I found them on Bimmerparts.com for 75$ a piece but I know they can be had for less. Too bad BF.C's search function is down.

Thanks in advance!

A code scanner should be able to tell you which 02 sensor is bad and replace just that one it would save you money. Replacing all 4 would be good but would be costing more money than needed.

You could go ahead and get software to turn off 02 monitoring all together. should be cheaper than four new 02 sensors.:read:
I did it because I'm changing my headers. (no more cats)

That is what I was thinking. Why change all of them?

It's how I do my maintainance. But ///M-inence ... talking simulators? Know of anyone that makes these? I know Active does but they dont have it listed as aproduct on their website.

I was on their site few days ago and saw a few things missing. Maybe they are weeding out some of their old line.

Call AA about their sims, then just replace the first 2 pre-cat O2 sensors. You can only simulate the 2 post-cat sensors btw...

Yep they only monitor cat performance, don't want to **** with the first two and their air/fuel monitoring.
