E30 318iS's are just under 2,700lbs, not 1,500... add the S50 to the front end and its closer to 2,800lbs.

I have it on a diet right now, TJ ,but it is probably in the ball park of your numbers. I need to get it weighed and dynoed just for fun.

Yeah you should weigh it for fun. Just for reference, my 325i with no spare, 1/4 tank of gas, no back seat, and 14lb Corbeau race buckets weighed in at 2780 at a truck stop.

Is that with original motor and you in it?

06-05-2006, 03:06 PM
Well my trunk is gutted except for radio antenna ,battery and cable to battery rear seats removed along with no deck lid or rear seatbelts , A/C lines are gone and i have two IS seats , im a little nose heavy right now as you could imagine .

I am pretty sure the 318is gas tank is smaller too because 4 gallons of gas gets me like almost a half a tank unless that sender is reading wrong. Supposedly m50 s50 weigh in at 50lbs more than an M20 atleast that is what i read.

That is not with me in it. Original M20. As Airik said, the S50 is about 65lbs more than an M20, and the M20 is more than the M42.
That stuff taken out of the trunk and such totals maybe 30lbs or so, so it takes up some difference. I think you need a CF hood and such :)

Yeah there is plenty of stuff i can still take out i'll make this b*tch anorexic......but i think im gonna hold off and clean up the outside first.
