So the new season is here, and it looks like the Rays are starting to build their franchise up. And not to mention, tickets start at just 8 bucks.

Would anyone be interested in meeting up somewhere and then driving over to the Trop and going to a Sunday or Saturday day game? Parking is free, but its doubtful that we'd be able to park together unless we get there mad early. We can walk up and buy tickets, for my money outfield seats are the best, which are usually around 17 bucks unless its a prime game (prime games are games played against Boston, New York Yankees, and the Dodgers).

Im really not familiar with the area, so I don't know of any places to meet up prior to the game, but I think this would be a fun meet. Even if not a ton of people are interested, if anyone is just post up and we'll figure out a game we can all make it out to. Theres nothing better than spending a day at the ball park with friends, imo.

Was looking at prices the other day. I say we get a box or something.

How much would a box be per person? Considering we like 10-15 people?

if a box is like $500 and we have 10 people thats still $50 a person :/

I was also thinking about this idea.. I've been wanting to do it with hockey, but boxes are hella expensive and the Lightning is doing well, playoffs now anyways, forget it. I'd be lucky to get a ticket for myself, I'm dieing to go...

Anyways yeah... I've also been thinking about the idea for us to hit up a Rays game. I think it be fun... a box would be sweet. I think its feasible unless we get shafted because people don't showup and pay for it.

Hockey games are gonna be a bitch to go to at this point cost wise. Plus its ghey driving around down town with all the one way streets and stuff.

A box at a rays game, from my calculations, at the cheapest would be around 81 bucks a head. We can get a group discount for regular seats as long as we have 20 or more people. Which might just be better, i dono.

Pshhh you just havn't driven around downtown enough to learn how it works... Its not bad once you know the streets. I drove to Lightning games all the time... Dad had season tickets on the glass but now since I started college he only buys 1 seat anymore :-( Sooo sadd!!!

he said $81 for a box per person, when i said 50 i was making up numbers... i wouldnt pay 50 for a rays game, baseball isnt that exciting and the rays really arent that good

on the other hand, hockey is intense and exciting, and the lightning are pretty good. Specially when Kuba's giant ass is out there pwning everyone

and my school is right by downtown, ryan is right, the streets arent hard at all once you figure out where you need to go

Kuba > Kubina I <3 hockey, its so awsome to go watch it in person.

And yeah... it takes a couple times getting lost and confused to learn it... just don't go too far down Florida Ave when close to Downtown :-) Dunno if I'd lolly gag around parts of Howard or Armenia either... but in downtown itsself its easy... just rock out on Ashley.

well you go down platt under the convention center, and make a right at the parking garage right next to the stadium if you get there early enough... 2 streets, not hard to figure out at all, and parking is only $10 there

wow, so about baseball . . . lol

I say we all just go out there to the Trop, and get like the 17 dollar outfield seats. Or, if you dont wanna pay that much, we can sit way up high in the back for 8.

$8 ftw

lol, thats what I thought. However, its WAY up in the back. If you guys are familiar with the park, its where the "Beach" used to be, but now its just normal seats.

If we get 20 or more people, we can get them for $6 and not 8.

We should pick a game a few weeks out and just go.
