My neon electric blue truck has a ton of swirlies in the paint, need some advice or help on getting it all buffed out!

I also noticed a day after getting the M5, that its covered in black dots that scrub off, looks like tar, nothing I drove through, don't know where its from, but I need to get it all off.

You need to get a somewhat abrasive polish for the truck. The polish will take off a very thin layer of the clearcoat and completely remove the swirl marks.

As for the M5, get some tar and sap remover for cars and clean it.

black dots are probably this one little bug... i cant remember what its called but it looked like little drops of black stuff and its really got to be claybarred off and polished after that to make it perfect again.

The car was on jack stands when I noticed and still is. I can not really wash it in the garage, so it will need to wait. I am just wondering about getting them off the soft top.

I dunno how the name Mista Bo-jangles came about, lol a class joke that kind of stuck... Really need to get some Zaino and get the swirlies out of it... Its got alot of hard waterspots that I am having a really hard time getting off. The M5 came from Reeves, maybe I have sap all over it too, its kinda gunky... thought it was more like tar, but I thought the trucks they shipped them on were enclosed

Clay-bar for the black dots in the paint, works really well but takes quite a while to do a good job on it...

As for the swirls I believe there's a product called "swirl out" or something to that extent that you use with a orbital buffer to remove swirls. Use very light pressure when using a power buffer...

Was out of town for two weeks lol sorry, umm the truck still needs dire help with swirlies... the M5 is going in monday for break in service, and they are supposed to wax off which they put way to much, and simonzie the car. Although i've run across some scratches and weird stuff on the car that I need them to look at before they do it. Not sure when I'll have it back by, Wednesday-thursday maybe... or maybe earlier.

I can still bring my truck by sometime this week while its in the shop and we can do that.

I have to say the car is filthy after two days of "the spot" lol

The night plays tricks on you... Saturday night I washed it down with soap and water and figured it would get all the mud off.... errr wakeup and its just like it was. Then I saw it all on the seats, dash, and door frame. Cleaned out the inside but the outside is soooo dirty lol. Maybe if I go take it to Reeves tomorrow for the oil change and tint, they will give me a free detail or something lol

So the time has come! How about Sunday?

M5Beast
06-28-2006, 04:43 PM
Like I said, I'll probably clean the M5 before Sunday... since its small and isn't that hard to clean... but the truck needs some love, and it takes all day... That truck always needs cleaning so yeah, let me talk to my admissions counselor at Stetson and plan a day to go there to make sure its not this Sunday
