EuroTreffen Spring 2007 Bradenton Drag Racing $20

The 1st annual event will be held:
Friday Night April 27th, 2007 at Bradenton Motorsports Park drag strip in Bradenton, FLfrom 6pm - Midnight!


This first annual Euro Treffen is a gathering of fellow European enthusiasts for not only local enthusiasts but for all those willing to make the trek down to sunny and warm Florida. The show is not only a GTG but also a track event where anyone can make runs down the drag strip for an additional fee. The GTG portion of the show will have room for 1000+ cars to be displayed. The drag strip will be available from 6pm - 11pm for as many runs as you want to get in!!


We are currently expecting 400+ cars and hope that this number may reach 500+. The show will be held at a familiar location for those of you who frequent the only 1/4 mile drag strip in the Gulf Coast area, Bradenton Motorsports Park.

The price of the event is $10 admission for each person. (Children 11 and under are FREE)
Drag racing tech cards are only $10 more to race ALL night long.
Event T-shirts will be on sale so have cash on hand.
Event T-shirts will be available BEFORE the event. Keep an eye on this site for the final design and ordering information. (shirts will be $10 for S-XXL)
Burn Out Contest @ TBA. Winner receives (4) new Falken tires.
Head to Head Races @ TBA
Campers are Welcome to stay overnight at the drag strip grounds. However you must be up and gone by 8am.
Pets are welcome as long as they are on a leash.

that's a good point...this EuroTreffen thing may be as crowded (if not more crowded) than the thursday night Test-n-tune. and the event lasts no longer than the typical Test-n-tune (6-11pm). nevertheless, a Euro meet will weed out many unwanted cars from showing up. and even though i can't run, i'm still gonna show up to get some drag footage on video.

you should come...i mean how much time and effort go into adjusting the suspension for the 1/4 mile? worst case you don't get to run, but at least you'll get to see some forum friends and lots of cool cars.

I'll head out, but if theres a bunch of people I probably won't bother trying to run. I hate sitting in line :-( I'd rather just get a bunch of FG in on renting the track for a couple of hours. Last i looked it wasn't that bad. I think it was like 600 for 4 hours or something. I dunno.. it wasn't bad if you split it between a bunch of people. None the less back on topic I'll be there most likely!

fortunately i do live very close to the track. but even a 45 minute drive wouldn't be bad for an event that isn't going to be nearly as boring as you think it is. it should be 100+ cars, maybe even a few hundred. and i suppose i don't find drag racing as boring as you do, though i can see how it can get monotonous for some. either way, i'm sure you'd drive out just to see people and hang out a bit if you lived only 15 minutes from the track too.

lol no one would pay for 4 tires for an M5... if I can ever figure out the trick to brake standing in the M5. No idea why it worked by Sonic and wouldn't when I tried to replicate in ft. myers.

I've read that the car does not like it when the backwheels spin and the front don't move. You have to do something in the computer in order to Dyno it. Thats not a big deal, I should be able to gas it and just let it move slowly, but sometimes it'll bog out and cut my throttle while I'm still floored and when the wheels stop spinning it gives it 100% throttle again and shoots off lol.
