Gainesville German Autos..

To the Gainesvillians,
I want to start something here.. This is the reason for me being the first post on the Gainesville section.. I am recruiting, or at least spreading the word.. If you are from the Gainesvillle area, and interested in meeting up, please contact me.. Email/PM/IM.. its all good.. If I have already talked to you about this site in person, contact me as well.. I would like to get a good group of people that can meet every weekend, or at least every other.. If you know of other BMW/German sites in the area, please spread the word as well.. I want it to be prodominately German cars.. I have heard of a few mixeed car clubs in the area, but we should be better then them because our autos are better..
There is a German car club I know of, but that group is currently down for summer and wont be up till August. The site also does not have any forums so FloridaGerman is already better.. I would like to be able to merge both the groups..

This is a new site and we can make it grow. It can become a real Florida site, and not just prodominately Tampa/Orlando people, no offense to you guys..
I look forward to hearing from everybody.. If we can get enough Gainesville members, I'd also like to find some sponsors from our area that may be able to get us some discounts on things.. So spread the word!!

haha n/p i got a nice welcome from everyone from this site. btw do you work at reeves if so i have a question. I bought a wheel/tire protection plan, but my SA tells me that im only allowed one repair/replacement. Reeves did a cosmetic repair since the guy never mentioned that it wasnt covered so it was done in goodwill of the dealership. I accidentally did the same thing to the wheel and want to fix it under the plan. any info?

He does not work for reeves but has a few "boys" that work there. May be able to help ya out. What did you do to the wheels? So you are in town?

i ran over a pothole again and left the same damage i had before getting them fixed last weekend. I am in gainesville, comming into town for my bday weekend on friday.

Sounds like there is a good small group of Gviller's joining this site. I will speak with Tyler and Ken of Leistung Motorwerkes about organizing an early meet before Fall semester. LM is the current group in town and so far those two are the only one's I've met. They know of a bunch of Gainesville German owners and I think we could get a decent group of people together for a small meet. This weekend I am heading out to the Yahala Bakery meet so it wont be happening this weekend, but I will try and set something up for either next Friday or Saturday. I am looking forward to meeting everybody..

Scratch that.. Next weekend is Fathers Day weekend and alot of people are gone.. The following Friday 6/23 might be the best date for a meet. I need to figure out how things will work out. The 24th is the Big CFBMW meets FLgerman meet in Tampa and maybe a few of you wouldnt mind signing up and we could all drive out together. The Monday after I will be bed ridden after getting my Wisdoms pulled, so a meet the following week would not involve me.. I will definately try and organize something because I am realy looking forward to have a good Gainesville group formed.. I will be PMing the few Gvillers on this site as well as contacting a few others in the area.. See you soon

nah i just went to meet the leisteng motorwerke guys then my girl needed some milk so i went to publix and when she was inside i was going around the parking lot and was like whoa 20th anniversary! i was gonna put the card on the window and saw the sunroof open... post some pics for the others to see. i like the turbo badge too:thumbu:
