its a advertising gimmick VW is using to promote the new GTI. Its basically like a character representing yur alter ego for driving fast if you buy the new Passat GTI. Apparently when you buy an 07 GTI, yu get one with the car.

yes its the 06 gti's and to be completely technical, i think its just "gti" this year. no more golfs, but we all know its the golf;)
