Looks nice. I don't know too much about 964's, but 87K miles isn't bad.

i would only object to the price, just cuz 18 g's for a 15 year old car is too much for me. then again, its a porsche. got pics of interior?

Looks in good shape, how about another Mini!? :alright:

It does look hella nice, but thats quite a big price tag for a 15 year old car. It is a porsche, but still kinda high. Honestly, for a car that old, the miles are good. If I were you, id haggle the price down, and then buy it.

seems overpriced. 15 years old and 87k miles. 87k miles is low for being that old, but its still quite a bit of miles. if you can get the price around 15k id say go for it.

where is this being listed?

That is a secret!
Here's the listing:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=280071101205&rd=1,1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=280071101205&rd=1,1)
The last picture shows the stock wheels (twisties are available for extra $$)
Yeah, $18K is no chump change but that's what 964's go for. In fact, this is as cheap as they get in good condition. You wanna play, you gotta pay ;)
It didn't sell so I might be able to negotiate a little. The only thing stopping me is the color. I just did a count and 11 out of the 14 cars I've owned were black. Getting tired of it.
And if I'm going to spend $20k maybe I should get something a little bit faster (though 964's are no slouches and will hit 60 mph in the low 5 sec. range). Maybe spend a little more and get an M coupe or E46 M3.... dunno.
I also bid on this '88 but didn't win. I'm not crazy about convertibles but I'm a sucker for Strosek 911's

Nice as well
Buy my 964 instead! It's a pristine 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet with only 7,000 miles on it! Here's a link to the eBay auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=015&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=250076367060&rd=1&rd=1).

i kinda agree with LD, it's a tad pricey, but 15k wouldn't be too bad. The car looks nice though.

18 k is not bad for that car with under 90k miles. The 964's especially the early ones need a prepurchase inspection before you confirm the deal.
They had problems with the dual mass flywheel - the cyinder to head and cylinder to case leaking (costly repair, you have to replace the cylinders and pistons AND machine to case to fix properly) AND the distributer didn;t come with a vent kit until 1992 - (what happens is the dual distributers are run by a belt, Ozone builds up and the belt brakes, causing the 2nd set of sparkplugs to quit working) bad PR on an 11 to 1 compression aircooled engine.

Oh and a properly set up 964 - which was the first 911 to come from the factory with ABS, and coil overs and and aerodynamic undertray will walk just about every other 15-18K car on the track in the right hands.
Oh one more thing - all 911's are 20,000 cars. Buy one for $10K and you'll easily put $10k into it.

Ouch it's a sad truth... But that thing is CLEAN, I would definitely look into it.
