same spool as the k04's.. but they last longer up top. I haven't had time to go out and log some data while turning up the boost yet(getting married).. but i'll be doing that after i get back from the honeymoon. IMO(if you were wondering) - they are definitely worth it. and sorry to shawn for hijacking your lovely thread:bonethug:

My car isnt running for shit right now either, getting it reflashed tomorrow, hopefully that fixes my problem. Its a little difficult pushing 400hp out of a car that came factory with 170! When you get your car to 782hp youll know how I feel!

back on topic (sort of...), has Sam's Jetta been tuned since the install of the GT28RS kit? the reason i ask is b/c we ran a few times on I-75 after he had the GT28RS installed, but i don't recall how long the kit had been on the car, what octane he had in the tank, or how high he was boosting that night. i'm sure he told me and i just can't remember...anyways, just wanted to know if he's planning on tuning with high octane/high boost like you...

as i understand it, he's getting the tranny worked on right now...it may be a while before we can play again. :evil:

My car tuned the same way and the way Im running it now is putting down around 275-280whp

His tuned up with 100 should do just over 300 wheel, maybe 310-315 max. My car on 100 should do about 340 to the wheels

Pretty much the same turbo but just the orientation of the turbo, how the downpipe and exhaust side of the turbo are lined up and most important the intake and turbo inlet in my car is MUCH MUCH better than how it is in Sams

Sam also has about 200-300lbs less weight than me though so its all a toss up. Not sure what the fastest GTRS Jetta is, but the fastest A4 with my exact setup was a 12.58 1/4 mile

i would have guessed that he was making 280-290whp that night, so i was in the ballpark. then again, his car was VERY impressive that night, especially now that i know he was only on pump gas @ 20psi. i was unable to pull more than three car lengths on him that night. i was on pump gas as well that night, and boosting around 16psi. now if i could only remember the other specifics :thinking: . i don't recall getting a chance to go from a 2nd gear roll (for whatever reasons), but i think we may have gone in 3rd gear anywhere from 60-70 mph, and may have taken it half way through 5th (jeez my memory sucks). i DO recall going north of 130mph though. :rofl:

I was on MBC, 21psi, Timing 5 and yes on 93

Ive got the EBC working now, 20psi and 24.5psi files, slowly pushing the timing up and experimenting with the meth and some happy juice :D

Working with a buyer for mine now, if I get the cash in time, Im going to get them Friday. Theres a HUGE wheel wholesaler in Pinellas Park that I just found out about, thats where there coming from so Im going there on Friday to look at them in person, Im still totally confused on whether or not to get staggered.

Think I might get two 19x8's while Im there, bring them home and see what they look like on the car and whether they fill out the back enough and then buy the other two first of the week depending on how they look

Still trying to make sure Ive got time to go there Friday but so far so good!
