I mean, if you wanna talk about German Car stuff, or just read and comment about german car stuff thats fine. I also dont really care if your posting just random question type stuff, like yur "what bothers you most" kind of stuff. But I dont see why yur posting your "grocery getter" on a German car website. If you wanna just come here to hang out, tahts cool and all, but its kind of pointless to post acura stuff here, since most of us probably wont know all that much about any asian car. And maybe some poeple know about Hondas and Acuras and Toyotas or whatever, but we probaly know more about German ones, hence the reason its a german website. Its a nice car, and Acura is a very reputable brand, but this is still a german based website.

I am working or designing the cards so I rather not break this up but I see this is not getting better. I have no problem in other members that do not have German cars posting here. The site is meant for enthusiasts not specifically owners. Jeff brought Corolla dude and there are some that have had German cars in the past etc. The problems seems to be that be is that you are not portraying yourself as a German car enthusiast. If you think about it nobody would even realize that you were not if it was not for the sig avatar and certain comments. "Off topic" is cool. You are getting replies in many and it keeps traffic on a site which is vital in the growing stages but it was not gradual, it came bombarding within 2 days which is hard to accept. We all use LD and Kevlar as examples but they did show enthusiasms. They handed out cards and I am sure would rock the FloridaGerman decals, shirts and hats that will be soon coming. I like how Cobb explained it. Feel free to hang out and give your input but it is not technically a off topic site although it does have section for it. You should be here for the sole purpose of being a German car enthusiast and the off topic comes as an added bonus ;)

I agree it is a german site, but to attack him for joining and posting his car is just mean. like I said I see where everyone is coming from with the german enthusiast, and that he doesnt drive german, but instead of bashing him for it just appreciate what he has. The banter between him and a few members was childish if not cruel at some point, but the basis of the original question has merit. He's not posting about cars, let alone german cars. And he's flooded the site with off topic threads and posts. (which isn't terrible) But most of all, he's obviously made some of the members feel like he's here just to post random crap and has no respect for what the site was intended for. I would expect the same treatment from a Nissan forum had i gone in there and acted like i owned the place after only 36 hours. I personally welcome anyone with any type of vehicle to the forum. But know this, if you don't intend to post about cars, mostly german cars, and don't drive a german car, or even a car for that matter, (MDX = SUV) then be prepared for the flaming. He's still welcome in my book, but may i suggest laying off of the Jolt Cola for a while.:nono: j/k:cheers:

I think the problem is "The Gallery" is in the wrong section area. It should be in general or somewhere else where the german-car-owners can post pics of their german cars.

Do we really anticipate (and want to encourage) posting of non-german cars? Why is "the gallery" in off-topic then? Fix that and I don't see such issues happening again...

Just curious then, if someone didnt have a German car, where could they post their pictures? I take pride in my vehicle as you guys do too. I realize this is a german site but I've been to a couple meets and have seen and met most of you. I like bmw's and dave can attest that I was looking at them for the longest time before purchasing the MDX. The banter was childish, as I admit, however all I did was post pictures abiding by the forum regulations. Everyone took it personally. Is it my fault it ruffled a few feathers? No.

Everyone hates me because of my ridiculous post count but check the majority of my threads and they contain 2-3+ pages of replys. Being a new forum I would think you would encourage site activity. But if your intention was to start an online forum where just your group of 15 friends are welcome then let me know and I'll gracefully bow out.

Erik, i'm glad you take pride in your car/truck. You should, and it doesn't matter to me what kind of car you have assuming you have interest in some type of German car. (not just German girls...haha) I can't say that this was your fault at all, but if you step back and didn't respond to the first post that questioned your motives we wouldn't have gotten to this point. So i'm sure many feathers that were ruffled would be straight again if you were to accept some responsibility for it. You seem like a smart guy and i'm sure deep down, if not right there on the surface you know that you're somewhat responsible. Nuf said about that.

I'm sure that no one here hates you for anything. A lot gets typed in the moment and people can get nasty really quickly. But i've seen that most everyone here is a good person, fairly light hearted and quick to forgive and forget. So don't continue to think that anyone hates you. You're right about your threads getting lots of traffic in them, and i agree that a new forum needs and is appreciated by most. But if you didn't know, alot of the people here just came from a site that seemed to be more "off" topic than "on" topic... cars. German one's in particular. So the powers at be decided to make a new site which was a tad more serious about them. But i tell you, for as much as i love cars, all these sites need some off topic fun. I personally feel that one of your threads was a little distaseful, but hey, it wasn't the first and i'm sure won't be the last time someone posted something distasteful here. (ahhm... silver e34 hehe). I think that the speed and force in which you came here took some people by surprise and they reacted poorly. What ever the case, please stay and make fun and interesting posts and maybe throw in a german car related one every now and then. :cheers:

Im not going to argue anymore about it. Although I do disagree with somethings in that statement. I respect the approach you're taking to the situation and for that my problem is not with you or really never was.
