WTB: 1.8T SMIC

Anybody know where I can get a used SMIC from a 1.8T motor? I need one for our FSAE team's 08 car (going turbo with it :woot:)

Heh, QTEC wouldn't be allowed. We have to meed sound regulations (110 dBA at the engine speed at which the average piston velocity is 3000 feet/min, rounded to the nearest 500 RPM. For our engine, that's 11k RPM :eek:). So yeah, 110dBA at 11k RPM is relatively quiet, I'd say.

glasspack mufflers bishes...... either that or i heard filters actually work. The audi R10 diesel has a nonrestrictive exhaust system which puts out relatively low emissions because of all the filters it has on. It is so quiet that when we were watching the race, we could hear the gearbox over the car :)
