Cool, you need to be a lot smoother on steering/brakes/throttle though you could easily pick up another 2-3 seconds.

Yeah...it was my first time out with the car and I'm still learning each time I go out...I'm still alot more comfortable with my E46...also, the practice course is pretty small and technical...the larger courses are much easier to be smooth on...:)

Man were the tires screaming! Don't they put crappy Conti Sport Contacts on M5s?

How does the E60 feel compared to the E46? Less connected with the road or did they take care of that in the M version of the car?

Yes...they have the Contact Sport 2's...:( I'm really disapointed in the way they performed...

To be honest, you can really feel the weight in the E60...when you are driving it, it doesn't feel very large, but throw it into a corner and you really start to feel where the weight plays a factor. I am guessing that a large contributor to this is the tires...with better tires, I am guessing the car would feel MUCH better...however, it DOES feel much more solid and much more confident while cornering than the E46...if that makes any sense...;)

Yeah, they're good in the wet because of their big water channels, but lack grip in the dry.
