Every saturday a diverse bunch of car guys get together at the Hooters parking lot on the corner of Stickney Pt. Rd. and 41...its not really the Hooters parking lot specifically, a bit south actually...usually a big open lot, but there will be a bunch of modded cars there

Usually 7:30-8 is when people start to show up, then around 8:45 to 9 everyone decides randomly where to go for dinner/food, and then lots of boosting and blowing off till they get there. People still show up in the hooters area till about 10-10:30, but the weekly local bunch of friends and such leave earlier. They are the cool, mature guys; nobody is a total douche really, so if you find one, then he's not someone that always shows up.

Sometimes the VW croud of mostly MkIV and MkV GTis and such show up, but they park one little mini block thing over and dont ever seem to affiliate themselves with us, but whatever

We meet elsewhere and sometimes go over to Hooters... that group is mostly tamparacing people who, in my experience, are more interested in behaving stupidly and getting the cops called...

Like tonight... we arrived before 9:30 only to find 3 sherriffs parked there and a bunch of cars all leaving...

That meet has also been dwindling a lot lately... in the spring there were usually 25+ vehicles... lately maybe 10-15 from what I've seen... What happened to the high powered 350zs? I know there was one regular supercharged and a turbo'd too... not to mention the fake and real skylines...

Yeah, I dont show up there anymore since I'm not cool because I dont have my Supra streetable. What I did was retarded, I admit, and I dont think a car that nice should show up any more with dumb ****s like me getting pressured into stuff. Thats just not my attitude, and its my first time showing up in monthes. I dont blame you for not wanting to stick around.

Not as far as I am aware. Modded german cars arent nearly as popular as Asian and Domestics

there's a strong VW/Audi group... Bob's been hanging with us pretty frequently...

we typically have 15+ cars on any given night... busier nights can be 25+...

its slowed down a little since a big chunk of our group is in Tampa at USF though...

Orion - Im not calling anyone out, but in situations like that you have to think twice. Cops are always just around the corner waiting for someone to f -up.

bmw boobies - come to the VW meets thurs+sat @ Bealls on Clark. I try to hang out with those guys as often as possible.

Fred - Seth and I were on our way to Bealls, but saw you guys rolling into Hooters as we were leaving. After being told to leave cause of something we had no part of, we decided not to stick around and just head home. I'll see you Thursday.

A sherriff stopped by a month ago or so while the VW club was leaving Hooters... we talked with him for close to an hour... he was cool.

but US41 and Clark is typically very, very busy when it comes to traffic enforcement... I roll Clark with the cruise on!

Its part of why we stopped meeting at best buy on 41... 3 sota cops started parking there during our meets just waiting for the inevitable reason to remove us.

Needless to say, no, I wont be showing up there much anymore. If thats what it takes to be cool, then I'm staying out of it.

I'm coming from the west end off 71st St. I'll have to make sure I don't get stuck working super-late that night, but I should be in the clear. Bowling would be sweet. I haven't gone in forever.

Sorry I missed on Thursday. I got tied up late with work and was pretty demotivated to drive to Sarasota afterwards. My buddy and I are planning on getting our cars shined up and stopping by the Saturday meet, if that's still on.

Is the parking lot fairly well-lit? My buddy wants to try out his camera on a tripod for some time-lapse photos.

IS350 and Z31 tells me you went to Hooters then...what color truck? New black Toyota? Usually people will be there around 9 or so too..depends.

I went to both places since I was down there already. I'm pretty sure it was a Toyota truck with black wheels. I might have been at the wrong Beall's too. There is only one Beall's listed on Google maps and Beall's doesn't list any as being on Clark. At any rate, maybe some other time.
