Only video I have uploaded from this weekend since the sunday race is too long to upload to youtube. race starts about 4min in and goes under caution for half a lap around the 8:20 mark and resumes around 10:30. T13 of that lap is when the fun happens. Can definitely see throughout the video where a good motor would be nice.

good stuff LD! bummer about the ball joint yeiks!
If you need a motor I have a 1.8 long block, I think it's from a 94 (BP05-4-2), sitting in my garage ;-) BSI motor that did one season in spec miata.

If it really is a BSI motor then I may actually want that. I have a 95 but I can check on the compatibility

:drive2:I had the same thing happen to me once on a 4 lane highway. It is an attention getter.
Thank god it didn't happen in turn 14 or 17.

Looks like you got luck that it happened in that straight where you could get control easily enough and get off the track. I think I woulda shat myself...

Yeah I got lucky it happened in a brake zone and where there was runoff. Collateral damage wasn't bad. Guy was good with the flatbed and kept from ripping the bumper off or breaking anything else. Had a new part and had it replaced like an hour and a half later.

Great video. One of those pucker up moments I'm sure. Overall, how'd the weekend go for ya?

LD, to the best of my knowledge it was a BSI motor. PM sent
