This is my third German car, after a 1983 VW Rabbit GTI and 1986 Merz Benz 190E 2.3-16.

This is my first BMW and like woah !!, this car is a screamer. Its my weekend, date car and I dont drive it much. Still learning all the features and gizmos and also how to handle a V8 car around corners. This car is a blast !! :D

Overview:

This M5 is in fantastic condition and still under extended warranty. Includes all factory options: heated seats, navigation (with full set of US nav CDs), power rear sunshade, park distance control (front and rear), alcantara headliner, integrated phone, and the upgraded ///M audio package including 6-disc CD changer.

The M5 is the ultimate sport sedan: super sporty 400HP V8 six-speed, yet a smooth luxury cruiser that comfortably seats five. Generally regarded as one of the best sports sedan on the planet.

$80k brand new, featuring more than $10k in upgrades.

Also features dealer-installed (and warrantied) Dinan Stage II suspension system (http://dinancars.com/Series.asp?Series=15&Chassis=13&Model=57&Class=Chassis%20Tuning#118), Dinan strut tower brace (http://dinancars.com/Series.asp?Series=15&Chassis=13&Model=57&Class=Chassis%20Tuning#115), Dinan shock tower brace (http://dinancars.com/Series.asp?Series=15&Chassis=13&Model=57&Class=Chassis%20Tuning#116), Dinan performance software (http://dinancars.com/Series.asp?Series=15&Chassis=13&Model=57&Class=Engine%20Tuning#109) and an aftermarket upgraded Eisenmann exhaust (http://www.eisenhaus.com/ehprice.php?selMake=2&selModel=2210&selSub=116&selPerf=2&selTip=253%231.05%234round.gif&Submit.x=36&Submit.y=13&Submit=Submit). Includes two sets of wheels: 18" BBS RGR (http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/DisplayWheel.jsp?wheelMake=BBS&wheelModel=RGR&wheelFinish=Diamond+Black+Painted) and 19" Hamann (http://www.hamann-motorsport.com/index_start.php) HM2.

I have to be 100% honest when I say out of almost any BMW there is, a Lemans Blue Blue/Black interior E39 is really where its at.

I have known Gary for quite some time, but still, everytime I look at his car I get so jealous.

Thanks guys for the positive feedback.

I bought the car in August of last year, 2005 and I am the third owner.

It now has 50K miles on it.

As mentioned before I dont drive it a lot. Mostly weekends.

I think if I drove it everyday I'd get a gazillion tickets and end up broke.

Still adjusting to the V8 power. I've always owned a 4 cylinder car.

If you've never seen this before ......... do enjoy ......

Did you visit the BMW owner's circle a year ago or so and get the free dvd with all the BMW films? I watch them on my computer when I'm away from my car! :D

Yes, I signed up for the free DVD but it NEVER came. I guess they ran out.
I do have a "The Hire" DVD with 4 mini-films, Ambush,Chosen,Star and Powder Keg.
The Follow is supposed to be on the DVD but its not. I understand there is a Season II with 3 more mini-films. Then now I understand you can get all 8 mini-films on one DVD. I've been checking ebay this week and they're going for $20-$30.

Peace,
GR:D

So what?? Kelso lives in orlando I think, if I lived way out yonder.. I would make the drive.... Who cares about location... its about whether or not the person is willing to make the drive.. Idk this guy so I can't speak for him, but hey, we have some regulars that make a drive...

Hey guys,

Hope all is well.

I've been away from FG for a while until a fellow member M5Beast also of M5board.com reminded me of FG.

Here's update:

The M5 sat in the garage most of the time Ive owned it from Aug last year until 2 weeks ago. Did 4K miles for the year. Due to other car, Mercedes EVO II-R in shop for bumper repair the M5 has become a daily driver and like WOAH its fun to drive. I've mastered the NAV system and learned some other things about the car. Had some maintenance work done recently like oil change, front brake pads, new radio, adjust hand brake. All is well. Im looking into detailing tips as I want to do it more myself and save some bucks.

I did finally get "The Hire" DVD with ALL mini-movies and its a great DVD.

Now that I drive the M5 more on a daily basis, Im being converted to a Bimmer-Guy slowly but surely.

Bimmer-Guys, rock on !!

Peace,
GR ;)
