New Rims..

I've been thinking about getting new rims but i don't even know where to start looking....what i'm looking for is a black rim with a chrome lip. Does anyone know where i should start looking?

I will look. CSL replicas with powder coated black centers. Looks cool with no lip and the spokes extend beyond ;)

No more CSLs!!!!!!!!! Two on FG is enough! Check out Tirerack.com to get an idea of what you want. Look at the black ASA AR1 with the chrome lip. I almost got them instead of the CSLs.

Visit some local shops to get an idea of what size your looking for if you havent already mentioned it. As ghetto as it sounds, pick up a Lowrider magazine. Every other page has rim advertisments. Get a basic idea of whats out there.

You can even get ASA AR1's (which are made by BBS) with the black face and the polished lip straight from them...

Get LM's or RGR's if you go BBS...:drool:

One thing I need from you - can you get a picture from the side of the car about eye level with the roof line...kinda like this...

yeh that was a fun car but theres no way i matches up to the bimmer. The ride on the bimmer is 100x better than that of my 04 cobra.

The main thing I'd be wary of with those wheels (other than the "E46 my require modifications") is the weight. They're made for the X3 and X5, which means they'll be very heavy, especially since they're 19s. SUV wheels have to take a lot more stress, so that's where the weight comes from.

I would stay away from the EBAY wheels you listed. I don't think X5 and 3-series wheels are compatible, plus they're gunna weigh a ton. My guess is upward of 35lbs. I would stay below 25lbs for wheels on an E46.
