id still rather have an 01(yes dave in the year of 01 Bmw facelift the headlights and taillamps of the 5 and 7 probably others as well from those ugly ones to eyes) to 03 m5, i hate the I-Drive system,

Oh, I guess it was an 01 I test drove, I swear it was 02 though. Greg have you tried like the 05+ I drive? I think that is the year they redid it and it is much better than in the 02. Well every year they changed it a bit but there was a big hop somewhere.

no i havent tried the newest i-drive system yet, i still like the e39 body m5, and when i was at bmw getting a service most of the service guys including my advisor say the new is a beast no question but they like the "drive" of the e39 as a road car better.

Sort of off topic but since you guys were talking about it already, what exactly DID they change year to year in iDrive? It seems like the most annoying system in the whole damn world.

I cannot find the article with the review and changes each year :( I remeber they added the distinguished 4 color menus that you can get to at any time by holding instead of backing all the way out each time :dunno:
