uwe goes 8:09 in that car, hans went 8:20 in the GTR.. I dont think it was that run though.. to much lap traffic.

Uwe has beaten Stuck's record by 10+ secs though. and I think this was the only video that they have found to illiustrate just how fast the car is.

Did he beat the record for GTR cars or the record in general? Didn't they used to race F1 car on there? I'm sure they made it around in less than 8 minutes.

Well the File is 855MB... it contains the car on the grid with mechanics/techs all over the place and the driver preparing himself. An installation/reconasince lap around the track behind a pace car. And then a few full speed laps. I'm gonna ask Jack if its okay to host it on his server if he gives me the approval i'll post a link up as soon as its uploaded.

As far as track records go, in 1983 Stefan Bellof set a time of 6:11.1 in a Porsche 956.

Recently, the Radical SR8 set the record for production cars at 6:55. Pretty damned fast for a road-legal production car!

yeah F1 used to race there and Jackie Stewart helped them take it and one of the french tracks off because they were so dangerous. Back in that day it was normaly for help to arrive 20 minutes after the accident

the 8 second times include the shorter GP track... this video is not of the actual run, but just to illistrate the speed of the 911 that beat the GTR's time
