and the wheels cleaned off much easier than the old ones, it just kind of wiped away. Ryan said it may be something the dealer puts on, and if it wears off I want to find out what it is so I can get it

yeah jack did a quick pshop of it lowered a little and it looks good. the 06 isnt as high as the 04, but it still could use some springs. I may do sti pinks or go for something harder. Either that or coilovers. My dad doesnt understand why coilovers are *so* much better than springs.

I thought WRXs have poor transfer cases and trannys.

the tranny case is weak, leading to a lot of people blowing gears in past generations. However, the general consensus is that Subaru has gradually strengthened the cases, so they flex less, reducing the recurrence of the problem. However, if you thrash the car, you're still going to run into trouble.

For anyone that doesn't know. Jeff cut open his finger with a razor blaze getting some stuff off of LDs window. Hes like I cut myself, I saw a tiny bit of blood and moved on, then like 30 seconds later Jeff is like I really think I cut myself, and his whole hand is like dripping blood. :lol:

For some reason, the facelifted front end looks better on a wagon than on a normal WRX, dunno why. Kinda random, but do you have any pics of the seats?

yeah i like the new facelift on the wagon *much* more than i did on the sti

if you cant see the seats in the interior shot that jack did, than no.... theyre the same as the old seats but instead of being black and charcol, they are black and silverish. They look alot better but im gonna find someone with a silver sti to trade his blue seats for my silver seats

The front end and interior are *HUGE* improvements, IMHO.

The rear end is the same, nothing wrong w/ it.

The 06 tails are so rice. Wtf is with everyone doing the damned factory Altezza look? Anyway, it wouldn't cost you anything to get different tails. There are actually people with 04/05 WRXes that WANT the 06 tails (wtf, right?), who would be happy to trade. I say dooo it. The older lights are far more subtle.

well power-wise im only going to do the QTEC and the cobb accessport (ecu management) for 2 years or until i get out of warranty. That'll get me to 285 hp and 340 lb/ft of torque which is enough for me. Cobb can give me the $600 AP for like $100 or something because I'll trade in the 04 one I have, and the QTEC guy is supposed to cut me a deal...

Suspension-wise I'll be doing front and rear sways as well as a rear strut tower brace again. Also gonna get coilovers (maybe KW or whiteline, idk) and adjustable camber plates this time. Definately replacing my stock tires with something better, and probably Kumho Ecstas.

Brake-wise I'm going to start off with SS lines and new fluid. Then I'll probably take out the fogs and make brake ducts, replace the rotors with cryo'd slotted ones, and get some new pads. I'll have to think about calipers, because although I need them, they are pretty expensive for my daily driver.

Randomness-wise I'll probably get a short throw shift kit, stiffer tranny mounts, new steering rack bushings, some shifter bushings, and some reinforcement stuff. I *may* take out some stuff to reduce weigh, but again, it has to remain my DD so I probably wont. I'm definately thinking about a roll cage, but my dad doesn't want me to get one so idk what will happen with that.

oh hell yeah, this is probably the next 2-3 years.... the QTEC and AP should be done within a few months.

also I'm going to try and see if i can get some sponsorship with COBB, i tried with the quicktimeperformance guy but they dont do any sponsorship cuz theyre cheap. I got my springs, sways, and strut tower brace from cobb last time so I'll probably do the same this time minus the springs. Hopefully all the suspension stuff, power stuff, and maybe some brake stuff should be done within the year. The car ended up costing way more than my dad wanted to pay, so I dont think he'll help me out financially on anything

When your in honors program, or have a higher g.p.a. above 3.5 I believe, you can take as many credits as you want as long as you keep a great g.p.a.
