I'm thinking of taking the S2000 out to it's first autox and wanted to post it up and see if anyone was interested in coming with. It's on the Central Florida Racing Complex and it costs $30 I believe. Here is the website:

and here is a thread on the first AutoX:

This.
WAAAY too many safety concerns right now. I'd love to go watch and see if they are improving, but I'm not very willing to pay $10 to go watch other people Auto-X.

well, it kinda has been. :(
What began as a great idea has become a strung-out, half-assed venture. It does look like a great kart track and I personally wouldn't run anything bigger that that at cfrc.

well they are two separate tracks. the kart track is actually well designed and has some nice turn complexes. the "road course" (lol) is a joke.

Well it's an autox, I'm not expecting any sweeping right handers at 90 mph. So my hopes aren't to high, I just want to push the S2K a little

This.
It was a great idea, and there was obviously a ton of interest, but they are overcharging people for a half-assed "track" and autocross days.
They use stopwatches at the autocrosses to get times :lmao:
The 1/8th mile seems to be the only thing that is very popular over there anymore. I'm just not very willing to drive over there to pay $10 to watch people auto-x:dunno:. Nationals maybe, a bunch of ricers, no.

just finished the autox at cfrc and had a BLAST. times could be recorded better but I really just wanted to learn and have some fun. pretty organized for being shortstaffed. overall had a great time, was very cheap met a lot of great ppl and learned a lot about driving the S (including my first spin lol)
