Rear End Ratio For My Car

apparently my car has a 2.86 in the rear...wow, didn't realize it was that low, I mean, I could feel the difference between my car and our 88 300E but didn't realize it was that low. Might be having the diff swapped out tomorrow...we will see...figured I would post it up...I thought it was quite interesting.

actually, it's lower than what I originally posted, it has a 2.65 or 2.56, can't remember :eek: the c43 diff I have has a 3.06 I think, so I'm gonna be putting that in shortly. As for the LSD I'm might to try and buy the carrier for my diff straight from the dealer...not sure yet

it's probably similar to the lexus/yota ediff computer controls which tire gets torque. it's crap go mechanical lsd

you could always weld it.... pretty much the cheapest alternative to LSD. or (with some serious fabrication) you could convert to a mustang cobra rearend. they're independent suspension and you can go up to a 5.12:1 gear ratio in those lol

EPC shows clutch plates in the c36 and c43 diffs so I'm not sure
explain more about this please, cause I asked if the C43 was a lsd and they did mention something that sounded like this

shit, my sec has 2.47. if i can pick one up cheap i want to get like a 2.89 make it a little better. idc if its lsd or not. my problem is i dont know what models will interchange with mine

well I hit my top speed cause of the limiter in the very beginning of my last gear, so, yeah, either they need to stop with the governor/limiter/w/e or gimme a higher rear end, end of story
