Kelso, he's been trying to for a while, but you don't find pairs of contours often. It seems that they're pretty much always sold as a full set.
Jeff, any particular style you're looking for? Would be easier to narrow it down if I were looking specifically for 5-spoke, mesh, multi-spoke, etc. wheels.

true...
get the ones off of the black m3 being parted... just give him some spare wheels to keep the car drivable until the engine gets torn out and then take those wheels back. or i think bavauto sells replicas

i think the csl replicas look good, but jeff i would highly recommend not getting them. The way you tear it up, you need some good, strong wheels. A set of cheap rims wont hold up i dont think

The E36 has the same bolt pattern as other BMWs, but the offset is different. The E36 uses around a 40 mm offset, as compared to the ~25 mm of the 5 series and such.
Edit-And Myee, those would'nt even get close to fitting. Jeff could maybe run four fronts with stretched tires and rolled fenders.
The silver E36 at the end of page 1 is running fronts 18x8 +13 with 225, rears 18x9.5 +25 with 235. I know it took some modification on the wheel wells and minor fender rolling to make fit, along with tires that are about as narrow as can safely fit.
If you were to get wheels with "e36" +40 offset, wouldn't they sit inside the fender leaving some to be desired? Something like the mesh basket weaves above- 7 inches wide +30, wouldn't that sit inside the fender like OEM ?
Ideally Id like to find wheels that fit super perfect flush with fenders and didn't require much if any modification to the fenders/wheel wells.

anything else???? right now its looking like csls

Jeff, I looked around, but it seems that the wheel market is currently "blah" for some reason. The pickings on ebay are typically pretty good, but I wasn't able to find too much.
Myee, my LTW reps are +38 I believe, and they fill in the fenders quite nicely, I think. A bit hard to tell with my stock suspension, but maybe I'll grab some pics for you later.

you can have my roadstars when i get my new wheels tire are maybe 70% 17x8 17x9
ps roadstars are my coupe/m roady wheels.. i think you would need to roll the fenders but you should do that anyway

Sean, I'll double check, but I'm pretty sure that the rears won't fit on his car even with the fenders rolled.

Sean, did you put M3 rears on your car, or are they all fronts?
my e46 had oem m3 fronts and rears .... but before that my 19's were an m3 offset and they were 10.5" in the rear. and my car was dropped ..... i did alot of things on that car just because everyone swore that they could'nt be done.... like m3 offset in the rear, nothing larger then 9.5 i went 10.5 with a 285 tire, m3 exhaust, m3 gauge cluster.. ect.. anything is possible if you have the time/skill/money
