View Full Version : long shot here - local place to get special E46 M3 corner bulb?

So I have some special corner bulbs for my M3, they're silver and they light up white... much better than the ugly OEM yellow bulbs. Well, one of them went out today. I stopped at Autozone thinking I could find a pair to put in, but unfortunately NONE of the bulbs they had matched up with the bulbs in my car -- the problem is the offset of the mounts, which requires the pins on each bulb to be 150 degrees. Unfortunately the offsets of almost all the bulbs I saw in the store were 180.

So I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know where I might be able to pick up replacement bulbs locally? The specific bulb I have is the "Solaris Niveus Invisibulb". The bulb type for the car is 1156 with a 150 degree offset.

"Local" to me btw is in the Tampa Bay area.

you could get oem ones from the dealer and lightly spray them with high temp silver paint. Thats what I did for my rears and It look pretty good.

try RacingZone or RZautohouse on cypress. right after you get off 275 on to dale mabry south, its the first light take a left. Its on the right side. note everything is little expensive but light bulb cant be that much.

racing zone has a reputation for being the most un-knowledgeable and most unkind "racing" shop out there. They claim to be a racing shop, but I went in asking for a fuel pump and they say "whats a fuel pump?"

id call napa and ask them, because i think they can look at parts by car.

they do a good job of balancing tires. I went there a month ago and they seemed pretty cool. i've had tires balanced by transwheel a few times because people told me they were great, but there always seemed to be a vibration. well after rz doing it its all gone bye bye. They also use a hunter machine.

I did the exact same thing. Home made stealth bulbs ftw! Pretty sure they were $6 a piece.

No, I bought the amber ones and put a light coat of silver engine paint over them so they light amber and show silver.

lighting up amber is also legal :)

and when you paint it silver, its not as annoying an amber color when its on... looks really nice
