Hi, next week or the week after that (depending on when the final parts come) I will be installing new poly subframe bushings etc aswell as the metal reinforcement plates that need to be welded in.
Does anybody know how to weld or know somebody that can do this?
For a better idea of what I'll be doing check out Jeff Capelos thread on it, only difference is I'll be doing the reinforcement BEFORE it tears ;)

Buy me a Millermatic Mig Welder and I'll be happy to ;)
Unfortunately, no welding utilities anymore, hence the reason my subframe remains stock :(

I'm sure cars and concepts would be able to do it... If not, I'd give Dave White a call. I know his guys just welded some mufflers for the street for me.

Thing is I need them to be mobile or else it's not cost effective. The whole rear susp, axles, control arms, subframe of the car are being removed making it immobile until it's all put back together. Paying a shop to do such work on site would be extremely expensive labor (15+ hours at $70+ an hour holey smokes! ). So that is why I'm doing it myself in our garage!

So that it never breaks, the way we drive, autoxing and all has proven your subframe will tear it's just when... The reason the subframe tears is from worn out bushings with too much play in them. I can't belive you had it all taken apart, access to them, and didn't replace those it's just going to happen again.

I don't have much welding experience. There are 4 plates that have to be welded, abou the size of your fist. They need to be welded all along the egde. Since it's a structural part of the car it needs to be good, strong welds.
