To those who know me but haven't heard from me, I apologize, been really busy lately... Here's a story:
I live in South Florida now. Work full time, work my ass off and love my job, consider myself super lucky to have a job and enjoy going to work every morning.
i work for automatedlife.com
For those of you I don't know from the older days of FG/BB, well Hello, my name is Roy.

Now to the good shit. I recently purchased a 2008 Mini Cooper JCW. Dark Silver, Black interior. It is by far the most fun I have had with a STOCK car. In its present form it is unbelievably fun to drive. That being sad, it will not however stay stock. I will be doing it right though, no bullshitting around with this car!

Here is the car at Day 1! Not a single modification, the exact day I picked her up, like 3 something weeks ago..

I hardwired my valentine 1 to a 12v power supply in the upper rearview mirror area.. Simple, yet makes life soo easy. I love it there.

Hey! Long time no see. Congrats on the new car. The JCW aero kit is sick. Making any trips up to tampa in the future? Welcome back man!

Ok I'm not doing a thousand replies in my own thread. I'm just gonna attach the files all together and you can match the descriptions with them..

Tint, 5% all around. Too dark? Sure. Need it? Definitely.

Coilovers.. JIC/Cross Competition coilovers, height and dampening adjustable. Got a great deal on them brand new from Alta.. They will be going on shortly once I figure out which rear control arms I want to go with.. I will be slamming this car. No dicking around here. I want it on the ground. Coilovers come with camber plates on front, and end links for the front. Seems to be a great set up, have heard great reviews. Can't wait to get it on there though.

JCW brakes, awesome. Work wonderfully so far. Unfortuantely dusty as all hell. Will be changing out the pads for something more efficient once the warranty is up. Might as well have Mini pay for that until it runs out.

Shorty antenna.. That long one was ridiculous. I now use it as my whipping stick in bed.

Interior.. Pretty basic. Won't be changing much.. Will add oil & water temperature, oil pressure, and boost gauges soon... Why mini did not include oil temperature, oil pressure, or water temperature on the car stock, I do not know, but it is annoying. Easy fix either way.

Future mods..

Well soon I will be getting m7 upper and lower grills.. the stock grills are ugly as shit. that's probably it for the exterior, i like the jcw body kit looks good.. will black out various parts but nothing extreme. maybe matte/flat black full car one day..

Intake yes, probably m7 intake of some kind, they have like 4 different versions.. Hot and cold hard boost tubes... forge intercooler.. bov (although I hate them, they do serve an important purpose, i'm gonna try and find a silent yet effective one as good as the hks bov), wheels eventually.. ecu, full exhaust and downpipe. water/alcohol injection. and many other assorted engine stuff, as always function over form parts.

I'm going to be doing a system soon, I can get audio equipment cheap as the business i work for is a distributor for a lot of audio manufacturers.. I will be replacing all 4 speakers up front, two in rear and adding a system.. Unfortuantely the speedo and head unit are one piece, so i will have to add a line out converter/sound processor to get high quality sound, but not a big deal...

thats it off the top of my head. I will try and update you guys with my modifications as they come along..

Thanks. I want to come up there soon. I don't have anything planned yet but hopefully I'll be up there before the end of the year. I left in may of '08, haven't been back since. Time flies.
