i looked at em for a while on cars.com.... found a 844 turbo with only like 80k miles for 9 grand. I wish I could buy it, but my parents are being completely unreasonable and my dad *totally* knows it.

i really want to find a 951 so bad, i missed an offer for 500 bucks on one that needed a clutch, it got sold before i could go look at it. They are not hard to come by for around 5k, for a pretty nice one with good mileage, but thats just way out of my budget.

lol my dad wont let me get a german ca because when they need maintenence, parts are too expensive... he has to take care of 2 all the time and he was like "oh hellz no" to a third lol

thats true, not only OEM parts but also aftermarket parts are expensive for them. Ive been trying to find another set of rims for cheap and i cant!! not even stock rims! And of course if i look at some nice aftermarket rims for nissan or toyota or something, theyre super cheap and super cool. Porsches seem to be the worst for things like this.
thats too bad that he doesnt want another though, you should tell him that at least he would know how to fix everything himself!

yeah that was my main arguing point.... still though, the sway bars he has on his cars are like $650 A PIECE and I got mine on the suby for $150 each....
but yeah his stuff was so expensive that my sister stole the credit card he put all his porsche bills on and racked up like an $800 charge and he didnt notice for a few months because it was such a normal bill lol

I plan on just restoring it. I'll just keep it classy. It's about to go into the paint shop this week, so I'll post new pics when it gets out. Hopefully it won't take too long.

cool, are you going with the original color or something else?

I'm gonna stick with the original color, but make it a little brighter. It looks really dull at night. I want them to paint my calipers while they're at it. I also ordered new replacement tail light lenses. Mine are dull and cracked. I got the car about 2 years ago from an old guy who had it in his garage for about 4 years just letting it rot away. I would like to put some new rims on it, but they cost too much :( The seats where dry rotted so I got them redone with the black cloth insert. I think it looks nice. Any ideas on what I shold do next??

light tint, wheels, how about an exhaust :dunno:

cool, i have the same ideas about my paint, I was thinking about the original color (Guards Red) but with metallic flake to bring out the shine, instead of it just being solid.
Anyway, exhaust on 928's can sound REALLY nice. Also aftermarket intakes, possibly a 928S4 spoiler, not sure if those will fit. I've seen a front lip kit on some of the earlier ones, i'm not sure if they came stock that way or not, but it looks awesome.
As far as wheels go, I know what you mean. Every wheel made to fit a Porsche is super expensive. It's just a matter of countless hours searching around on ebay and stuff that will work the best, thats how I found my two aftermarket sets.
Dont leave us! We need more Porsche people on this forum!!!!
Nice p-car..
Welcome to FG.
