at thr price im looking for, im not picky... BUT i would love, black, grey, smoke silver or pewter. im not really picky about interior color (as long as its not blue). the 2.6 wouls be perfered. and i would like i stick, but i know how hard they are to come across, so an auto will do just fine.

2.6 5 Speeds are sadly, very rare. Probably more rare than 16v's. I'd just find an Auto that has everything you want, and convert it to a 5 speed.

ok, i found a guy that has 3 1983 300D's he is trying to sell them all as a lot. One runs and looks okay, and the window dont work. Number two looks great, but has a knock. And number three is a parts car but has good motor and tranny. they are all turbo. i am trying to get him to sell me just the one that runs.... BUT he is not sure about doing that. so i figured i would see if anyone wanted to go 50/50 with me...? i would take all three BUT i have no way to tow them and i have no place to put them if i could (apartment)

Saw the ad, stay away. You're much better off buying one car for $1000 then those. They would really be only good for parts cars.

And going in 50/50 is not such a good idea.

thats a great price on that 16v BUT, its already out of my price range, then add the cost of actually getting it.... :banghead:

ok, i found a guy with a 92 300TE black on black, auto, and guess what.... A/C :clap: he wants 1500 for it. it does need paint BAD and it needs a new tranny (you can drive it just fine, you just cant back up) i havnt decided what to do yet... i think i would still rather have a 190E.. any ideas or suggestions?... or better yet, anyone have a 190E and want a 300TE? Almost every one of your posts has said that you would rather have a 190. Stop looking at 300's and look at 190's!

Whenever I see anything like that, I'd run away immediately unless they can prove it. Everyone always puts fuel pump relay, or fuel pump, but it rarely is just that. Half the time the fuel dist. will be bad. or the entire system is gummed up (see it a lot). Either way, very costly and a big PITA.

Oh, and that 2.6 James16V is talking about is in St. Pete...I think. I know its around Tampa though.

so i just went and looked at the 300TE again... i drove it this time (it was out of gas last time) and i put a deposit on it... YES I STILL WANT A 190!!!! but this is a great deal, the A/C works and the guy is letting me make payments, also.. this way i will have something to drive till i can put a tranny in one of those 190's
