Finally...an all German family!

Just last week my dad picked up a 2007 BMW 530i. It replaced his 2003 Infiniti M45. Not exactly V8 power, but he still loves it. I've driven it once and it's not bad, just not my kind of car. The iDrive is pretty cool though...I don't see how people don't understand it. Anyway here's some snapshots.

The lease was up. It was an OK car. The throttle response and brakes sucked. And it wasn't really quiet inside the cabin. It sure was fast though :drive: If you were going 20mph and then floored it, it was like...one...two...three...VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Nick and all: 2002 I-Drive is not current I-Drive. I think I-Drive now rocks. The old one was designed by Satan himself.

Yeah, I heard they made improvements almost every year it was out. I think when it first came out, it didn't have a Menu button to go back to the main screen. Mercedes (girlfriend) figured it out in out 30 seconds...I don't think I'll even try to explain it to my mom :roll:

:lol: my dad is all scared to get a new 750Li bc of the styling (he thinks its ugly, and i think its gorgeous) and also idrive, there is no way at 56 yrs old that he will get that, he has a hard time understanding what the hell a text message is and how to send one, and my mom forget about it :rofl: she barely knows how to use the internet, and modern computers to her are like OMG she hates modern computers bc there is so much stuff... explaining to my mom how her cd player works in her SL is like doing brain surgery on a dead wasp...

same thing in my family. Me and my bro are "techies" and my parents are so old school, we had a 550i for 2 weeks, and my dad couldnt figure it out so he used CDs. My mom couldnt even start it :(

Thanks guys...me dad loves the car, but he still misses the M45's V8 punch. He'll have to get used to the I6. I love seeing the two black bimmers in the driveway. His is metalic, so it's nice and shiny :D
